Hello. We’re Teya.
Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better.
They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business.
Teya exists to change that.
We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.
We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.
If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you
About the role
We're looking for an exceptional Head of Field Sales to lead and scale our UK Field Sales organisation. This is a significant leadership opportunity at an exciting stage of Teya's growth.
Today, our Field Sales team consists of approximately 25 people across seven regions. Our ambition is to grow to around 80 sellers in 2027, building a high-performing, commercially disciplined sales organisation that can scale sustainably. You'll take full ownership of the channel's performance, from customer acquisition and revenue growth to sales productivity, profitability and the development of our people.
A central part of your mandate will be scaling Teya Cities, our new approach to bringing together field sales, inside sales, local marketing and customer support within defined local markets. You'll help establish a repeatable model for entering new cities, building strong local teams and delivering sustainable commercial growth.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. We're looking for a leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, who understands what great field sales execution looks like and knows how to build the teams, systems and culture to deliver it. You'll be a member of the UK Leadership Team, reporting directly to our UK General Manager, and will play an important role in shaping the future of our UK business.
What you'll be doing
Lead commercial performance
- Take full accountability for the performance of our UK Field Sales channel, including new customer acquisition, revenue, sales volumes and profitability.
- Establish clear commercial targets and performance expectations across regions, teams and individual sellers.
- Drive improvements in sales productivity, conversion, pricing discipline and unit economics.
- Build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, coaching and consistent execution.
Build and scale our Field Sales organisation
- Lead the expansion of our field sales presence across the UK, building the teams and capabilities needed to support our growth ambitions.
- Play a leading role in scaling Teya Cities, establishing a repeatable and commercially sustainable model for launching and growing local markets.
- Partner closely with Inside Sales, Marketing, Customer Relations and GTM Enablement to deliver a joined-up approach to customer acquisition.
- Use commercial performance data to identify opportunities, optimise territories and inform investment decisions.
Develop exceptional sales teams and leaders
- Build a strong leadership team capable of managing, coaching and developing high-performing field sales agents.
- Work closely with the People team to strengthen recruitment, onboarding and sales capability development.
- Establish clear expectations for new-starter productivity, ongoing performance and career progression.
- Create a culture where great performance is recognised, underperformance is addressed and people are supported to reach their potential.
Drive operational excellence
- Establish effective management routines, including performance reviews, pipeline management, forecasting, coaching and field visits.
- Ensure our sales teams make effective use of CRM systems, sales tools and performance data.
- Translate commercial strategy into clear priorities and measurable outcomes for teams across the country.
- Work with central Product, Pricing and Sales Platform teams to continuously improve our proposition and the effectiveness of our sales organisation.
- Maintain a strong presence in the field, staying close to our customers, managers and sales agents.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a proven commercial leader who has successfully built, led and scaled high-performing field sales organisations. You'll bring:
- Significant field sales leadership experience, ideally eight or more years, including experience leading managers and geographically distributed sales teams.
- A strong track record of scaling field sales operations, ideally within payments, fintech, telecommunications, utilities or another high-volume B2B environment.
- Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses, with a strong understanding of face-to-face customer acquisition.
- Demonstrable success in improving sales productivity, commercial performance and unit economics.
- Experience building and developing sales leadership teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance management at scale.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgement, with the ability to translate data into decisions and measurable results.
- Experience establishing scalable sales processes, operating rhythms and performance management frameworks.
- The ability to work effectively across functions and influence senior stakeholders.
Beyond your experience, we're looking for someone who leads from the front. You're ambitious, commercially sharp and comfortable taking ownership. You set high standards, make decisions based on evidence and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo. You know how to balance the demands of delivering today's numbers with building an organisation capable of sustaining tomorrow's growth. Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy developing people, building teams and spending time in the field.
Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.
If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process whether for interviews, assessments, or other parts of the application-we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to ensuring that every candidate has a fair and accessible experience with us.
