    About the Role

Join an early-stage legal technology team building AI-powered software for contract review and other legal workflows. As a Founding Product Engineer, you will work closely with attorneys and AI engineers to build core product capabilities and help shape the team's engineering practices. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-paced environment with an in-person, six-day workweek.

    What You'll Do

    • Build and own full-stack product features, from data models and backend systems to interfaces used by attorneys and clients.
    • Collaborate with attorneys and AI engineers to turn legal workflows and review practices into reliable software.
    • Make pragmatic architecture and tooling decisions that support rapid delivery and future growth.
    • Write maintainable, production-quality code and take responsibility for the reliability of features after launch.
    • Help establish engineering standards, culture, and hiring practices as the team grows.
    • Prioritize customer experience and work closely with teammates to deliver product improvements.

    What We're Looking For

    • Three to four years of professional engineering experience, including experience building and shipping production software at an early-stage company or as a founder.
    • Full-stack skills, including TypeScript and React, a modern backend stack, and relational databases.
    • Hands-on experience building features with AI or large language models, professionally or through personal projects.
    • Experience owning features from conception through production deployment, making sound engineering trade-offs, and building reliable systems for complex workflows.
    • A completed computer science degree, strong product instincts, and the ability to work with ambiguity and minimal process.
    • Legal technology, document processing, or experience working directly with domain experts is helpful.

    Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $140,000 to $180,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
