    About Bounce

Bounce runs the largest luggage storage network in the world. Our marketplace connects travelers with 30,000+ small businesses in more cities than Burger King operates, and in more New York locations than Starbucks. We have served 3M+ users, stored 10M+ bags, and paid over $10M to local partners.

We move fast. We experiment. We ship, learn, repeat. Named Inc5000's fastest-growing travel company in the USA in 2024. Backed by Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Sapphire. (Series B announcement)

    About the role

Senior Product Manager, New Verticals. Reports directly to the CPO.

Your mission is to find and build what Bounce becomes next. The current frontier is delivery. You will figure out what delivery means for Bounce, prove it works with real users in real cities, and scale what wins. You own the full loop. Research, strategy, product, launch, iteration.

This is a 0 to 1 role for someone with depth. You will go deep on every problem, not sit above it. You will spend time with users, with hosts, and with city teams. You will write hypotheses, run tests, and kill ideas fast when the data says so.

You do not need prior delivery experience. You do need to have built new products from zero and shipped them to real users.

    What you will own

    • Shape the delivery product end to end. Discovery, acquisition, flows, pricing, retention.
    • Do your own user research. Talk to travelers, hosts, and operators regularly. Understand why people behave the way they do before you build anything.
    • Translate signals into clear hypotheses, MVPs, and experiments.
    • Launch pilots in real cities. Measure what matters. Kill, scale, or iterate based on evidence.
    • Define success metrics for every bet and hold the team to them.
    • Partner with design, engineering, data, operations, growth, and partnerships.
    • Travel. Visit cities, locations, and users. Learn in person.

    How we work at Bounce

We operate as high performance football team. Everyone has a role but everyone can score goals.

You will not hear anyone here call another person a "resource". We do not work in silos. PMs sit shoulder to shoulder with engineers, designers, data, ops, partnerships, and growth. You bring the problem and the context. The team builds the answer together.

If you want to issue orders from a slide deck and pass work downstream, this role will frustrate you and you will frustrate us.

    What we are looking for

Shipped 0 to 1 products. Not features inside a mature product. Real things you took from zero to users, then scaled or killed with evidence.

You’re AI-native. You run analysis with LLMs and have used AI in a real job, not just for side projects.

Strong operator muscle. You roll up your sleeves. You get into the data, the flows, the user calls, the ops reality on the ground. You do not delegate the hard parts.

Deep understanding of user behavior. You can explain, in detail, why users click, why they drop off, what pulls them in, what pushes them out. You study behavior before you propose solutions. We will test this hard in interviews.

Can read a funnel. You look at a funnel and the number that is off jumps out at you. You form a hypothesis for why, and you know what to check next. This is a daily skill in this role, not a nice to have.

Concise communicator. You get to the point in writing and in meetings. People who ramble usually do not know the topic well enough. If you know your stuff, you can say it short.

Depth over surface. You dig into every problem until you understand it from the user, the data, and the operation side. You do not stop at the strategy layer.

Collaborator, not commander. You work with your partners in design, engineering, data, and ops. Not through them. You make their work better.

Comfortable with ambiguity. You turn fog into a plan, test the plan, and change the plan when reality disagrees.

Fluent in experimentation. A/B tests, pilots, qualitative research. You pick the right tool for the question.

Commercial instincts. You care about unit economics, acquisition costs, retention, and lifetime value as much as product craft.

Travel ready. You will visit cities and users regularly.

    Not a fit if

    • Your career is big-company PM or management consulting. The operator muscle will not be there.
    • You see strategy and execution as different jobs.
    • You refer to teammates as resources.
    • You prefer to delegate user research instead of doing it yourself.
    • You go wide but not deep.
    • You can’t travel on a short notice.

What success looks like in year one

Grow our delivery by 300% in 6 months.

You predict, catch, and fix operational issues at scale.

Design, engineering, ops, and growth partners describe you as someone who makes their work better. Not someone who hands them tasks.

    Interview focus

We will go hard on three things. If any of them is weak, we will not hire.

User behavior and funnel reading. Specific stories where you unpacked why users did or did not do something. We will also put a real funnel in front of you and ask what stands out and what you would do next.

0 to 1 track record. Products you built from zero, with real users, decisions, and outcomes you can walk through end to end.

Cross-functional partnership. How you work with engineers, designers, data, and ops. We will reference check this.

    Our core values

Velocity is priority #1. The faster we ship, the faster we learn. One day sooner compounds.

Be experiment-driven. Small hypotheses, small scopes, fast learning.

Freedom with responsibility. You have the freedom to act, and we trust you to do what's best for Bounce.

Own the outcome. Commit to the outcome, not the task.

Think at scale. A small improvement shipped globally can beat a big one in a single city.

Be scrappy. There are no experts, it's just us. If something needs doing, we figure it out.

Strive for feedback. Care personally, challenge directly, and make feedback a habit.

Relationships matter. We genuinely care about the people we work with. We build community, not just collaborate.
