About the Role
Join the foundation team at a Series B education technology company, building the technical platform that product teams rely on. You will work across a Flutter mobile app, AI and agent infrastructure, developer experience, and backend services, helping engineers ship reliable product improvements.
What You'll Do
- Own core parts of the Flutter app, including shared components, design systems, state management, performance, and tooling.
- Build AI and agent infrastructure, including MCP servers, background agent capabilities, evaluations, and feedback loops.
- Integrate agentic coding tools into everyday engineering workflows.
- Improve CI/CD, release tooling, and the feedback loop from code changes to production.
- Ship user-facing features alongside platform work and keep shared foundations dependable for other engineers.
What We're Looking For
- Two to four years of production experience building mobile or web applications, with professional backend engineering experience.
- Experience shipping product or backend software to production, with hands-on engineering ownership in a startup, early-stage company, or founding-engineer role.
- Flutter and Dart experience is welcome but not required; strong web application experience is also relevant.
- Daily, fluent use of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar, and a considered perspective on their strengths and limitations.
- A strong academic background, entrepreneurial mindset, good design judgment, and clear English communication.
- Interest in improving shared systems and developer workflows, as well as contributing to an education technology product.
