    About the Role

Join a small engineering team building data-heavy distributed systems for a logistics technology platform serving temperature-controlled and high-value shipments. You will own partner-facing integrations and the data flows that help logistics teams understand shipment conditions and respond to risk.

    What You'll Do

    • Design and operate end-to-end partner data flows, from multi-vendor ingestion and normalization through warehousing, monitoring, and on-call support.
    • Build backend services and event-driven systems that ingest, process, and contextualize IoT sensor and shipment data.
    • Develop integrations with external partner APIs, webhooks, queues, carriers, sensors, and vendors.
    • Build data models, APIs, and workflows that support shipment risk assessment and exception handling.
    • Improve service reliability through testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
    • Work independently as a senior individual contributor on a small integrations team.

    What We're Looking For

    • At least 5 years of backend engineering experience, with around 6 to 10 years preferred, building scalable production systems.
    • Hands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript or Node.js, plus SQL, relational data modeling, and experience with NoSQL databases and ETL pipelines.
    • Production ownership of external partner integrations and end-to-end data pipelines, including multi-vendor ingestion and configurable transformations.
    • Experience with IoT data, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and REST or gRPC APIs.
    • Strong software engineering practices, including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
    • Logistics, supply chain, cold-chain, shipment risk, or regulated healthcare data experience is valuable, as is familiarity with related security and privacy requirements.

    Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $140,000 to $180,000 annually, with equity and a cash bonus. Visa sponsorship is available.
